At Kobie, we believe that every American citizen should vote. This year’s Election Day is quickly approaching, and as 2020 seems to continue to hold unpredictable circumstances, it is our mission to make it as easy as possible for our teammates to vote.
Kobie CEO, Bram Hechtkopf, kicked off our voting campaign with a reminder that “we as citizens play an active role in shaping our society” and that “voting is the bedrock of our democracy and an important way to all be heard.” Hechtkopf has a personal goal of getting 100% of eligible Kobie employees to vote.
This year, we have placed a significant emphasis on making sure that teammates do not have to choose between working or voting. To this end, we are giving all Kobians paid time to go vote in this election.
This year being like no other, we also understand that we all need to play a role in making democracy work. Kobie is also encouraging teammates to volunteer as poll workers or poll monitors on Election Day to help address a nationwide shortage. We will offer paid time for those who feel safe and comfortable during this pandemic to contribute their time to ensure that the polls remain safe and open.
Kobie has partnered with the League of Women Voters St. Pete to effectively help teammates that show interest in powering the polls this election season. They will have the option to attend virtual educational sessions in order to learn more about volunteering as well as to learn how to be a trusted source of information for friends, family, and neighbors.
Kobie understands the importance of elections in the U.S. and we are proud to support our teammates as they participate however they choose.
