MILLENNIALS INFOGRAPHICMillennials have been the topic de jour for years now. Millennial experts such as Chelsea Krost (@ChelseaKrost) have become celebrities practically overnight given their intimate knowledge and ability to represent this coveted generation.

The U.S. Census Bureau recently announced that Millennials would likely surpass Baby Boomers as the largest living generation (75.3 million vs 74.9 million) by the end of this year. Take that and the fact that Millennials are expected to spend $200 billion by 2017 and $10 trillion over a lifetime, and it’s no surprise marketers are focused on this growing powerhouse generation.

Millennials are a unique generation especially as it relates to their brand loyalty, purchasing decisions and how they use mobile technology to inform and augment those actions. They require omnichannel engagement, that is, brand outreach and loyalty initiatives occurring simultaneously across all channels and touchpoints. They also seek loyalty rewards programs that directly speak to their needs and utilize engagement channels of choice like mobile and social media.
