At Kobie, DE&I is about how we understand, support, and show up for each other and the communities we’re part of. It’s about listening, learning, and creating spaces where every voice matters and every person feels valued. Every June, we love to go big and celebrate Pride month.
Kobie teammates for Pride month
Throughout June, our DE&I Committee helped spotlight organizations, share resources, and spark conversations that honored the spirit of Pride and the importance of LGBTQAI+ visibility. Teammates across the company came together in that spirit – each finding a personal way to show support.
One way to give back was by making a donation to an LGBTQAI+ organization of choice in exchange for a Kobie Pride tee – a small token of appreciation for supporting a cause that matters. The response was inspiring. Together, our teammates raised over $650 for organizations doing critical work to support and uplift the LGBTQAI+ community.
Pride in St. Petersburg, FL – where we call home
That mindset was on full display at the St. Pete Pride Street Fair. We brought the “Be an Icon: Strike a Pose” booth to life surrounded by energy, love, and celebration. From fun photo ops to meaningful conversations, the day was a reminder of what Pride is all about: being proud of who you are. Being part of this event for our community where Kobie is headquartered made it even more meaningful.
As part of our commitment to making an impact, we invited visitors to donate to The Trevor Project, the leading organization providing crisis support and suicide prevention for LGBTQAI+ youth. More than 30 people donated, receiving a Kobie-branded cooler bag as a small thank-you for their support.
As one volunteer shared, “Being at Pride reminded me how powerful celebrating differences in unity really can be; it was amazing to be part of a huge community event like that.”
Pride month is always such a heartfelt reminder of why doing meaningful work to create visibility, inclusion, and support really matters.
In total, through teammate donations for Kobie Pride tees and contributions made at our booth during the St. Pete Pride Street Fair, our community helped influence over $1,000 in donations to LGBTQAI+ organizations. We’re proud of the impact we made together and remain committed to supporting the LGBTQAI+ community during Pride and throughout the year.
