Kobie Hosts First Annual Stadium of Screams Fundraiser

Nov 22, 2019

Kobie partnered with the Tampa Bay Rowdies for the first annual Stadium of Screams in 2019. The event consisted of two nights of Halloween fun; first, a haunted house for adults, then a fall festival for Tampa Bay families. All proceeds from the event benefited the St. Petersburg Free Clinic and the Rowdies Soccer Fund.

The haunted house, which kicked off the event on Friday, October 25, was a hit amongst our adult guests. The Rowdies’ locker rooms were transformed into a horror movie lover’s dream, as we had ten rooms that each represented a classic Halloween film. Many of Kobie’s teammates and their families acted in the haunted house, playing iconic characters such as Michael Myers, Pennywise, Jigsaw and the Ring Girl. This horror experience was coupled with a beer garden, outdoor games such as corn hole and trash pong, a silent auction and a DJ.

On Sunday, we switched gears to a more family-oriented event. We still hosted our haunted house, but we toned down the scares for younger guests. We also had a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, soccer drills on the Rowdies field, a bounce house, face painting and more.

The Stadium of Screams was unlike anything Kobie has done before, though we have always loved celebrating Halloween. Our Halloween festivities originated as a Haunted Hallway in our office that was decorated to get in the spirit of the season. As the event grew, we upgraded to a conference room to have more space for attendees. Kobie has hosted Halloween events for ten years, and each year we raised money for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. However, our proceeds from the Stadium of Screams were exponentially larger than anything we have raised before, as we raised $15,441 over the weekend.

All in all, about 1000 guests attended the Stadium of Screams. Kobie is so grateful to have worked with the Rowdies to put together an incredible event to entertain the community and earn money for a good cause. We cannot wait to come back next year with an even bigger, even spookier Stadium of Screams.
