How Kobie Keeps a Remote Culture Connected

At Kobie, working remotely gives our teammates the flexibility to do their best work from wherever they are. But being remote doesn’t mean connection has to happen by chance.

At Kobie, working remotely gives our teammates the flexibility to do their best work from wherever they are. But being remote doesn’t mean connection has to happen by chance.

We believe some things are simply better when you make the time to get together.

That’s why we’ve built intentional opportunities for Kobians to connect beyond the day-to-day, including through our network of hubs across the U.S. and India. Throughout the year, teammates come together for everything from happy hours and volunteer events to team meetups and celebrations. It’s one of the ways we keep a global, distributed workplace feeling human.

Our St. Petersburg headquarters adds another layer of flexibility for teammates who live locally. They can choose to work from the office when it makes sense for them, while still having the same flexibility to work remotely. And because St. Pete is our home base, the office also becomes a natural gathering place when teammates from across Kobie come together for meetings, collaboration, and celebrations like Kobie Day.

Bringing Kobie Day to every hub

Most recently, that meant Kobie Day.

Across our 10 hubs, teammates stepped away from the work for a little while to spend time together, celebrate what we’ve built, and recognize the people behind it.

The celebrations looked a little different in every location, but that’s part of the point. Connection doesn’t have to look exactly the same everywhere. What matters is creating the space for it

“It’s always so great to get some time together outside of our normal workday. Our Detroit team had such a fun time celebrating Kobie Day, catching up, and getting to connect in a way we don’t always get to when we’re behind our screens.”

– Laura Miller, GM & SVP, Services

Culture takes intention

Our approach to connection is just one part of a culture we’ve spent years building intentionally.

In 2026, Kobie was named a National Top Workplace for the fourth consecutive year, an honor based entirely on confidential feedback from our teammates. We’ve also been recognized as a Top Remote Workplace for three consecutive years.

Those recognitions matter because culture isn’t something you can simply declare. It’s something people experience.

For a remote workforce, that means giving people the freedom and trust to work where they thrive, while still making room for the relationships, shared experiences, and moments together that make work feel like more than a collection of meetings on a calendar.

Kobie Day is one example. Our hubs are another. And throughout the year, we’ll keep finding reasons to bring our people together, wherever they call home.
